NOTICE: There has been a lot of confusion in regards to ICE (Immigration) checkpoints & with the president’s tweet about immigration. We still have not been able to verify with photo/video ANY of these reports. This happened once before where for a week or so there were many being reported but not a single one was verified. This can cause a lot of fear & panic, so we are only going to post immigration checkpoints if it is verified with pictures/video. Several of the locations reported today as immigration checkpoints are actually DUI checkpoints. Also in regards to ICE doing a sweep for people in Los Angeles and southern California, according to an LA Times article “An administration official said the effort would focus on people who had been issued final deportation orders by federal judges but remained at large in the country.” You can read that here: https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-immigration-sweeps-southern-california-20190621-story.html That means that they are not randomly going around arresting and deporting immigrants, but only those that have already received notices from courts and have not complied.
