If there is  1 thing I’ve learned in the last 7 years that it’s to always record when dealing with the police.
I’m not suggesting you hold the phone in their face or that you need good video. The audio can be just as important and in my case, even though I spent the night in jail for a dui, I was able to use this audio to sue the police and show that officer Koby Arnold punished me for exercising my rights which was when I refused the field sobriety test. As soon as I see light behind me, I always hit the record button on my phone and just put it in the cup holder. You should too.
