Breaking the Badge: Captain Charles Norris's Shocking Arrest Exposes Corruption in the LA Count...
Captain Charles Norris of the LA County Sheriff’s Department was caught entering a known human trafficking location using his vehicle issued to him by the county.
Reports say that he was being tracked for at least two months to gain evidence before he was arrested. The Current Report said that department sources claim Norris was supposed to be meeting a minor male for sex, but was tipped off by someone working the Special Victims Bureau.
There are also sources that say that Norris was detained after going to an in-person meeting with a minor, but was met with a decoy officer. The incident happened on September 9, 2023, and Norris had his home raided September 11, 2023 by LASD Internal Affairs, and was also relieved of duty that day.
Norris been relieved of duty after he became the target of a current criminal investigation. It is not clear who is in charge of the investigation, but the FBI is currently not involved.
While it is seen as rare that high-ranking officials are relieved of duty, Norris is the third to be relieved from the LA County Sheriff’s Department in 3 years. Charles Norris was also one of the first to be promoted under Sheriff Robert Luna.
