Unarmed 13-Year-Old Asian Teenager Shot by Utica Police in Tragic Incident

In a heart-wrenching event, a 13-year-old Asian boy lost his life after being shot by a Utica police officer. The incident occurred during a traffic stop on Shaw Street in Utica, New York, on Friday night.

According to the Utica Police Department, officers were conducting a routine traffic stop in the 900 block of Shaw Street around 10:18 PM. During the stop, one of the teenagers attempted to flee from the officers.

In a devastating turn of events, an officer discharged his weapon, fatally striking the unarmed teen. The young boy was immediately rushed to Wynn Hospital, where, tragically, he succumbed to his injuries.
