Unjust arrest: A mother’s fight for justice after an initially racially motivated incident involving Hemet Police. A concerning encounter: how a few officers mishandled her son, a spectator to a complex situation. Her husband was pulled away and placed in a cop car along with my son.

“You’re looking at a couple of officers mishandling my son who was a spectator to a situation the older lady created. The older lady came to my apartment complex after following her granddaughter to my complex.

She’s a racist that doesn’t approve of her granddaughter dating a black biracial(red shorts) also my son, she got out of the car and approached my son who was in the passenger seat, and called him the n-word repeatedly and tried to slam the car door on his leg I told her to leave and at some point, she made a call to the Hemet police department, I don’t know the nature of the call but she refused to leave and lunged at me and pushed me

Shortly after the police came and immediately place my husband who was consoling the granddaughter because she was starting to throw up from the anger so the police at some point let my husband go from trying to place his hands behind his back and came towards me and my son, officer Lizardi pushed me and my son was got in between with his hands up and said “you’re not gonna hit my mom” so they threw him down on the floor and proceeded to twist his arm back all while Officer Lizardi pulled his gun out on my family and neighbors that weren’t even close to him. This happened August 3 2023 7:45 pm – 7:55 pm in the Greentree Apartments with the Hemet police department

My husband was pulled away and placed in a cop car along with my son who was being assaulted in the backseat by the same officer that pulled his gun out. I then followed them to the station to get more answers and they said it was under investigation I requested for all the body-worn cameras of all the officers that literally were ready to stomp on my son’s head.

I told them that this was a racially motivated call and you have the wrong people in the jail cell. I demanded answers and till today I have yet to receive any calls or even a report number from them. I’ve made official complaints about the officers, sergeant, and the entire police department because of the way this whole thing was handled. They spent 24 hrs in jail and they should have never been there in the first place.

We need help. My son and husband work hard and stay out of trouble, they’ve never been arrested and my husband works as an armed security so this is hurting his credentials. He would never fight the police nor my son.

They were given citations. My husband got a ticket for 148(a)(1)delay, resist, obstruction. Court for him is on 11-29-23 @7:30 am at Banning Court 311 E. Ramsey St Banning, CA 92220

My son 69(a) Felony and his court is on 9-18-23 I’m assuming Southwest Detention center but there’s no court name on the website.”
